There In The Grieving
Completed: May 31st, 2020 Time lapse of my recent painting “There In The Grieving.” Take a minute to watch. To share. To reflect. To read. To listen to lyrics. Let every word wrestle and rest within you. Quoted from the original post: In the past 48 hours I’ve watched the videos, I’ve read the words of strangers, of family and of friends. I’ve listened to wise pastors pour their hearts out, pray and lament. I took all of these words and painted them into Aslan. Words from people I know and call friends, and words from people I will not meet until heaven. Words that were spoken to each other and at each other. Some thoughtfully, some carelessly. I was moved by words that were redemptive. And grieved by the ones meant to cause harm. Please take a second to just read. Song: God With Us by Terrian

Breathe Upon Me
Completed May 7th, 2020 The full time-lapse of my latest painting, “Breathe Upon Me.” Thank you again to all of the wonderful photographers who submitted their photos of clouds to help me pull this off! It was a pleasure being able to join together as one and offer our gifts up to The Giver of them. And thank you for my church community for allowing me to worship with you last weekend. To view the service and a short interview (where I stumble over my words a few times 😉) please click this link: “The God Who is at Work” https://thecrossing.online/message/thegodwhoisatwork On to the next piece! May God alone get the glory and praise. ❤️🙌🏻 Song: "Maker of the Moon" by Bright City

A Look Inside
Completed May 25th, 2020 How often have we told ourselves “I would if I had more time.” I would read scripture if I had more time. I would pray more if I had more time. I would go to church if I had more time. I would volunteer and serve if I had more time. I would take care of my body if I had more time. I would help... if I had more time. And here we are, with extra time and those things that we said we’d do still aren’t getting done. Do you know why? Because it’s not a time issue. It’s a heart issue. While we’ve been quarantining, we’ve somehow social distanced ourselves from the One ‘person’ we should grow the closest to. But do you know the beautiful thing about God? He’s not outside asking to be let in. My friends, He never left. He’s been in the waiting, in the grieving, in the disappointments, in the joy and suffering... with us. With me. With you. Even when we wander off the path. We have a God Who never leaves. So take a look inside yourself. What currently holds the attention of your heart? Where do you go for joy? For comfort? For rest? Are you brave enough to ask Him to burn down the idols you’ve put in His place? Song: Fighting For Me by Riley Clemmons

You Meet Me There
Completed: March 27th, 2020 Creating the You Meet Me There painting. Our minds are fascinating. Have you noticed that if you say (or hear) something enough, you start to believe it? It sinks into our core and can change our entire perception on something. I guess the question to be asking yourself is this: what thoughts do you keep pushing replay on? Are they helpful? Are you fueling a fire for anger or fear? Do you keep mulling over thoughts of paranoia or dread? What if what you repeated to yourself was a gentle reminder of the presence of God? That, no matter what circumstance, God is with you. Take a minute and allow that reminder to sink in. God is with you in the messy moments. When you have nothing left God is with you. When you have doubts God is with you. When you are grieving a loss God is with you. When you don’t know what tomorrow will bring God is with you. When you’re drowning in loneliness God is with you. When you’ve slid back into an old pattern of sin that you’ve thought you’ve beaten God is with you. When you’re recovering from trauma God is with you. When you get the test results God is with you. When you’re struggling to forgive God is with you. When you’ve hit rock bottom. God is with you. When you sit there thinking the world would be better without you in it- my friend that is a lie straight from hell, don’t you believe it GOD IS WITH YOU. When your health is failing you God is with you. When you’re crying in bed trying not to make a sound God is with you. When you’re so tired you can barely move God is with you. When you are on your knees fumbling over words, unsure of what to say or how to say it God is with you. He never left. He will never leave. He is in control. He will continue to be in control. For our God is Mighty. And He reigns over all. Song: Broken Prayers by Riley Clemmons

The Rescuer
Completed: October 26th, 2018 For anyone who hasn’t seen this, it was my first time lapse. I hauled this 5’x4’ canvas to multiple locations, God bless the people who invited and allowed me to paint in their home and the couple who invited me to live paint at a worship event. I remember painting this piece and being so focused on what I was doing during that event, that I tuned out the loud worship music behind me multiple times. And I vividly remember seeing three little girls who were watching me. I think our initial reaction is to think that they’re cute, and sweet or even take pride in ourselves that they think “we’re amazing” and that they’re being inspired “by us.” But when you’re painting with God, when you’re painting FOR God... not to put yourself on show... not to be recognized for your work or skill level... when you’re trying to Glorify the One Who rescued you... You see the world differently. You see those moments differently. Nothing else mattered, but sharing the moment I was having with Him, with these little girls. I invited them to paint with me. For anyone who owns a print of this piece, the God rays on the right side of the painting are from 3 artists who stood on a chair and painted Light. ❤️🥰 (video of my little helpers in the comments) Artist friends, pay attention to the “little” moments God sends your way. They aren’t so little. Song: "Rescue" by Lauren Daigle

Daughter, Arise!
Completed: November 22nd, 2019 A mural painted in the library of Walbridge STEAM Academy. For anyone who doesn’t know me, Hi! My name is Elizabeth Londen... and I am a muralist. Well, kind of. I’m a volunteer muralist. It’s just a hobby. Hobby is the wrong word. It’s a passion? My mission? It’s the amazing and humbling task God has given me. There we go. Every one to two months I take 14-19 days off from work and go into my city to love on my community. I paint in places that DESPERATELY need beauty, but can’t afford to hire a muralist for thousands of dollars. Instead, people from all around the world donate to a Patreon so that I can do this, and my 7-9 job pays for the remaining. If the God comment didn’t give it away, I’ll just say it- I am a Christian. I know sometimes that statement is followed by an eye roll or an instant judgement of who I am as a person. But golly I’d love the opportunity to SHOW you who I am and more importantly: Who my God is. Because everything you’re watching below, is because of Him. Everything you’re reading, is because of Him. And the reason I’m alive today, the reason I have my eye sight back, the reason I can use my hands... is because of Him. The title is a reference to Talitha Cumi. It’s when Jesus speaks to Jairus’ 12 year old daughter, who has died. He grabs her by the hand and, in one of His most intimate/loving names seen in scripture, says : “My little lamb, it’s time to get up.” Or “Little girl, I say to you, arise.” Talitha is something your dad would call you as a term of endearment. A God Who is gentle and comforting- and at the same time, powerful enough to raise us from the dead. So. Daughters of The Most High, Arise! Song: "Look Up Child" By Lauren Daigle

Be Still Animation
Completed: November 12, 2019 Acrylic (3ft by 3ft) Thank you to everyone who has reached out from the “Be Still” painting with your stories. I have spent the past few days reading your comments and DM’s about your miscarriages, the babies you no longer have and the children you’ve had to bury. I’ve read your stories of adoption and abortion. About peace and redemption... and I’ve witnessed the love and trust of God in each one. My heart feels every word you type. Please forgive me if I’m ever without the right words to say. I am just so grateful for each one of you. And so very thankful that you took the time to write to me. Knowing God had a purpose for art and that He thought I could use people like you in my life, is a gift by itself. Such a blessing to be tied to you all. May God get every compliment and praise received from this piece and may He have all the glory! For the kingdom is His! 🙌🏻 Song: “Sanctuary” by Nashville

He Makes Beauty From The Ashes Animation
Completed: July 13, 2019 I painted a mural in 19 days. And for 19 days, I had one song that I played 107 times. Every time I hear this song, I get to remember the weeks I spent in this room painting to glorify a God Who casts out fear. Can I ask that before you you press play, turn your volume up and just sit there, for a minute and twelve seconds, and listen. Take in the lyrics. And commit them to heart. “When he told you you're not good enough When he told you you're not right When he told you you're not strong enough To put up a good fight When he told you you're not worthy When he told you you're not loved When he told you you're not beautiful That you'll never be enough Fear, he is a liar He will take your breath Stop you in your steps Fear he is a liar He will rob your rest Steal your happiness Cast your fear in the fire 'Cause fear he is a liar” Song: "Fear is a Liar" by Elenyi (Zach Williams Cover)
